Thanks so much for inviting us to see the bakery in action. I just love what you've built there. To see everyone so happy and thriving is just very very moving to me.
Thank you for everything you've done to create Invictus!
- Josh Seiden Thank you for everything you've done to create Invictus!
It was such a joy being back in the bakery and seeing you and all the amazing bakers in action. The love and joy you bring to this work is palpable, and is an extra special gift in a world so much in need of all that, and more.
The ways that Noah thrives in the space, the way he feels at home, so productive, so engaged, so comfortable, are all a tribute to your individual and collective gifts. You have enabled him to be his best self, and to be that person in a place suffused with acceptance and love. Not to mention some seriously kick ass baked goods...!!
So, just a brief-ish email to say thank you again for allowing our son to be on this amazing journey with you, to share his own unique, joyful, silly spirit with you and with his baker friends and colleagues. And for letting us get another, long-awaited peek into the magical world of Invictus.

Nigel has been at Invictus Bakery past few months and was recently asked to join his baking buddy Ava to showcase their baking skills in a mini-documentary for
https://www.scarymommy.com. Their performance was nothing short of professional and magnificent. To the point where even the unbiased (unrelated) film crew were genuinely impressed.
It’s important for us to share this because there are these opportunities where as a parent when witnessing your child’s meeting their potential in real time, it’s important to let his team know that they are valued and the work they are doing with him is valued. It was magical and proud moment for all of us.
The multifaceted approach to tapping into people with disabilities potential that Invictus utilizes, I saw the mirroring of ABA, Speech and OT classes all coming together in harmony. If I had working tear ducts I would have cried 🙂 My hope is that as Nigel transitions into adulthood, we can continue to provide him with more vocational opportunities like Invictus which compliments him. We are looking forward to sharing the finished product with you.

Invictus Bakery shows the power of using a strengths based approach to think differently about what the "ideal" employee looks like. It is truly an inspirational story about thinking about how everyone brings a strength to the table in a super successful company.
